Nomis Installation is committed to it's obligations to ensure that not only our staff and subcontractors are safe, but also others that we work along side.
In order to ensure compliance with industry best practice, we regularly seek external verification and auditing of our policies and procedures. We are both Alcumus SafeContractor and Avetta verified internationally.
We take a multi-faceted approach to Health & Safety -
- At company level we seek external advise and compliance verification, ensuring that our HSQE policies and procedures are in line with UK Law and best practice.
- Managerially we ensure compliance and safe systems of work by investing in the latest equipment and training. Our Site Managers and Supervisors are suitably qualified with a minimum of SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
- Our Installers, arguably at the highest risk of injury, are trained in areas such as 'Working At Height' the 'Safe Use of Harnesses' and as well as long term risks such as HAVs and RSC from prolonged exposure to concrete dust when drilling.
Moreover, as an organisation we care just as much about our employees and subcontractors physical and mental health outside of work.
We have a range of promotional offers and discounts available to our employees and subcontractors to help deal with the pressures of working within the construction industry.
Where possible we donate a percentage of the sale of recycled metals to the Lighthouse Club. Throughout the year we will be holding other fund raising events.
